Belly Bands

Like a belt that leads your eye downward and adds interest to your outfit, a belly band can do the same to your invitation.  The band can be made of paper that is printed, textured, or contains a motif or of fabric or ribbon to add some dimension.  Here are some examples showing a combination of mediums on invitations, place cards, favor boxes and more:
