Beth & Chip – Invites
So, several months ago we blogged about Beth and Chip’s Save the Date.
Here is the wedding invitation; understated, but grand at the same time. Letterpressed in two colors on the thickest 100% cotton paper available plus a duplexed layer of shimmer paper printed with the custom pattern we created. The idea of the pattern was to make you think of Mexican tile, does it? The liner, a fun, dotted pattern compliments, but adds a little whimsy. The fonts, a combination of a very conservative block and a beautiful and elegant script. The response card refused to be outdone…it has all of the same elements of the invitation with one unexpected twist, the response language is in Spanish! Another nod to the locale of their wedding.
For us at Three Little Birds, her marriage is bittersweet. We are thrilled that the date is here, but sad because it means our wedding related designs for her have come to an end. When I tell you it has been a designer’s dream – it’s been that and so much more. She has allowed us to create EVERYTHING we could think of for her. Never have we had a customer where every single person who has worked here in the last year (6 + Issy) here worked on something for them, and everyone’s comment were the same – “this is fun”, “she’s so nice”. We have used every technique available to us; letterpress, die cutting, laser cutting, duplexing, the list goes on and on. In the coming weeks we will show you some of the great things we did for her.
Above all, Beth has been the nicest customer with whom we have ever worked. Yes, we have had tons of great customers, but none like this. This is especially important as in the last few months some of our customers have not been too nice at all – no worries, Beth had enough joy and delight to make up for all the nasties!
We thank Beth for trusting us with so much and allowing us to make her wedding special and most importantly, for changing us ever more at Three Little Birds.
