Delectables by Holly!
Yes, we think food tastes better when you can experience it with as many senses as possible – first up, sight….
Delectables by Holly asked us to create some buffet labels for two big events. The first, the Romare Bearden: Southern Recollections opening night event at the Mint Museum of Craft and Design in uptown Charlotte. We designed three different looks for each station, the unifying element was the font and ink color. Why three? Cause we’re Three Little Birds….okay, seriously, this gave the caterers the flexibility of using one look or mixing them to complement the different wood tones, hand fired ceramic bowls and other interesting food display items they were using.

The slideshow shows the beautiful florals of Pam Bailey, Flowers from the Cellar, and the staged food areas. We went early so we don’t have images of the food, but based on the descriptions we printed, everything sounded, well, delectable!
Next up, a wedding in Asheville where wood, outdoors and a touch of glitter were the inspirations. So, we used papyrus imported from Egypt and combined that with brown and cream recycled, textured papers and printed in brown ink. Some of the cards featured our ever favorite, glitter paper!
Note, on the Love is Sweet card, each dessert features fresh herbs; what a neat and different idea. perfect since we hear the bride and groom gave herbs as their favor!
