Wedding Wednesday – Save the Date – Our Most Elaborate Ever!

Beth came to us wanting something truly unique for her save the date.  She allowed us to pull out all the stops using illustration, design, unique fonts, letterpress and digital printing a custom pocket and ribbon!

The two sided, two color letterpress accordion, shows the guests the events for the weekend as well as guest accommodations and a map.  The illustrations above the events as well as those on the hand drawn map, were created by our staff of illustrators.  The pocket, with an original design created to mimic Mexican tile, was also created by our staff. 

We paired the illustrations with a whimsical font we had not used before and created a duogram design for the printed return address that we letterpress printed at the bottom of the envelope for an unexpected twist.  The envelope, a color to let the guests know something unique had just arrived, was lined in a dot design that we created to play off the dot border on each facet of the save the date.

My favorite element is the donkey with a blanket that reads Hola!

Beth came by recently and told us:

Everyone has loved our save the date.  Of the 90 we sent, 60 people have made a point in either calling emailing or writing us to tell us how lovely it is. 

Obviously hearing such made our day!

Beth is allowing us to create a more traditional invitation, but it will have some flair to it. 

In addition, we have some wonderful surprises for the wedding weekend stationery that is unlike anything we have ever done before!
