Save the Date Saturday – Great Pictures Make It Special
Congratulations to all of of the newly engaged! We create hundreds of Save the Dates each year. Here are a few tips for you on Save the Dates that feature pictures.
1. Hire a professional photographer that specializes in engagement sessions or wedding photography. We see many pictures each year; the professional ones really stand out. Yes, it’s an investment, but it’s 100% worth it.
2. Let’s meet, in person or via telephone, so we can get to know a little about you, your fiance, the wedding, the engagement session, etc. The more we know about you the better we can create something truly custom for you.
3. Send us at least seven pictures. You may have your heart set on one, but sometimes we can design something with up to five pictures that will be more beautiful than what you had envisioned with just one.
We asked some award winning photographers, with whom we’ve worked, for a little advice for you too; here are their thoughts:
When having photos taken to use for your save the dates find things that reflect your personality or include your wedding theme. If you are not a prop kind of couple then just go for classic beautiful images and then let the design of your save the date show off your personalities ~ Critsey Rowe Photography
When creating a great Save The Date, selecting an image or images that reflect who you are as a couple and how you interact with each other will no doubt remind your wedding guests just how much they love the two of you and how your wedding is going to be a great event to attend. Tailoring the engagement session with your photographer for a specific location, style, activity, and wardrobe will allow the real you to show in the images. ~ The Beautiful Mess
