Tasharrie and Jarrett – First Anniversary
Tasharrie and Jarrett were married a year ago and we did all of their wedding stationery. Tasharrie is a true lover of stationery, so she had so much of it from pocket invitations to two sets of personalized thank you notes to all types of stationery on her wedding day. Critsey Rowe generously sent us images to blog; they are in the gallery below.
So, when it was time for the first anniversary’s traditional gift of paper, Tasharrie came right back to us! Jarrett is a chef, so she wanted to create a set of personalized recipe cards. In traditional Tasharrie fashion, she sketched the design for us, we created a few fun elements, and voila, custom recipe cards.
A couple days after Tasharrie called Jarrett did too. He wanted some stationery for her! He asked for something pretty, something to really wow her. So, we went to work. She loves script fonts, the more swirls the better, so we used really swirly fonts for her name and a few cute sayings. Pink is her favorite color so that is what we used for the font. She loves shimmer paper…so, you guessed it, shimmer paper was used for the folded notes and letter sheets. To give that extra WOW factor, we did textured liners for some of the envelopes; some cream and some gold – all nods to their wedding colors.
We just felt as if she needed a little more, so we created some mini “get out jail free cards”. They were cards that used quotes from her wedding day table numbers and designed to be placed somewhere she would just “come across” them; like in her purse, pants pocket, etc. They cards had space to write a note on the back.
We photographed their gifts together, and right when we finished, she showed up to pick up her gift. She loved it immediately!
She loves to stay and chat, which we love too, but with Jarrett on the way, we couldn’t get her to leave…we were panicked! Finally, she left.
So, today she called to tell us about the gift. She said she really wanted to call yesterday when we were closed, and right after she opened her gift, because she loved it so much! She said Jarrett used the little pink cards and hid them with clues and handwritten notes on each. She said she cried when she read the first one…he said, oh no, there are 15 more!
He was equally thrilled with his gift!
So, now take a look at the beautiful images from their beautiful wedding day!
