Wedding Wednesday – So Dog-Gone Cute!
Brooke and Dustin came to us last July to inquire whether we would be interested in creating their wedding stationery. After meeting them and finding out what they wanted we were honored, thrilled and exciting. I have been REALLY wanting to blog about them, but kept holding off so we could create more stuff. Now, I can wait no more!
They have a yellow lab, Lily, and wanted to pay homage to her on their stationery. So, we created a lab illustration, but in keeping with the mood of their wedding, Dustin suggested a bow tie for the lovely pooch – voila – a combination of whimsy and sophistication. So, the first thing we designed – the Save the Date.
Letterpress printed in navy
Next up, folded notes. To ensure they could use them even before the wedding, we had both their first names printed in navy ink; also letterpress.
Third – the invitation and response card.
So guest would know immediately, the motif was printed on the envelope flap along with the return address. The same motif was prominently featured on the invitation and response cards.
Lastly, cocktail napkins for them to use at the bar or the cake table or both!
Brooke recently wrote us to say:
Everyone loves our invitations!
We are thrilled that not only was the couple thrilled, but their guests were too!
In addition to allowing us to be creative, Dustin gave us some advice that helped us begin development of a great internal system!
